This is the reason I've been slacking on the hardody. Picked this up for 1500. 01 600 katana with 11k on it.
![]() ![]() Put a different tail section on ( this is the rear from the p/o , mine has much more wear on the sides lol ) ![]() Then I,"streetfightered" the front ![]() Now Im waiting on my turn signals ,tires ( Im on my third set cause I got defective ones from continental ) and mirrors. Also wondering if anyone has experience with these gauges from china since my factory ones are bulky and ugly now that I dont have a fairing to hide it behind http://m.ebay.com/itm/Motorcycle-Odo...624?nav=SEARCH Last edited by CasanovaGDP; 08-11-2015 at 01:24 AM. |

Looks like death, lol. I have the heart to be a biker but not the skill or patience for it. Too many idiots on the road that never see you.
The other day coming to work at 0330 I seen a guy that attached 1 inch square pieces of reflective material all over his jacket and bags. Must have been 20 or 30 little dangling squares. From 1/2 mile away this guy looked like a UFO, but it worked. Looks real nice though. I had a friend that had a Kawasaki Ninja or gsxr. Big bike too 1000+. I remember it was mostly white, with green, gold, and purple. Was perfect for down here mardi gras colors. It got stole.

So you don't like working on them anymore? Still a rider though?

Ah this is so true man. I was an apprentice panel beater for 3 years. I still love fixing things for friends and family and playing on my own projects but, to hell with working in the industry its horrible.
OP, I love streetfighters, I've always wanted to do a 636 as a Streetfighter but I never seem to get around to it. I have a rigid harley davidson frame sitting in my back room waiting for an engine so i'll probably do that first ![]()

nice - I had a katana as my first bike... great choice! they are a little on the dated side in both looks and mechanics but if your fast on a kat you can be fast on anything
![]() I would setup the suspension for your weight (correct springs, droop etc), get 1" longer dog bones for the rear, drop the forks .5-ish" in the triples, go -1 on the front sprocket, get a decent slip-on, sticky rubber, aggressive brake pads and steel braided lines... then ride the wheels off it ![]()

Not my first. Just my first in a long time. Probably gonna only keep it till winter. Had a couple offers on it already. Building up my credit with the truck and saving a little of m commission checks with the new job so I can hopefully wrap up the hardbody and get a new bike come spring
