Question Bumper lift issue

I bought the 3 inch body lift kit from performance accessories.

Problem is the bumper mount brackets don’t quite line up. Here are some pics: https://imgur.com/gallery/KILiDqO

Do I need to grind away at the top of the stock bumper mount? Also pretty sure I messed up the screws mounting the bracket because the holes didn’t quite line up.

Maybe someone else has tried this kit? Sold on 4x4 parts website.

Has anyone else tried lifting the front bumper, if so how

Are the brackets the same side to side? You may need to enlarge the holes a bit to make it work. Just remember to use a washer if the bolt goes through.

I've never been a fan of body lifts just because there are a lot of little things to do make everything work and look right.

When I did the 3" body lift on my former 87 (Trailmaster kit with metal blocks), the front bumper lift brackets were 2 individual metal pieces. we doubled up each piece to make it a little stronger and than welded the bracket so it could not move.

Have you tried to flip the bracket to see if the holes are spaced different?

Contact 4x4 parts since they made the kit.

4x4parts said it’s the right bracket for 2wd. Here I go increasing hole size and grinding away stock bumper bracket corner :’(

I still consider this project good learning for posterity

Glad to hear you got it working. How about some images of the bumper on the truck after all this snafu.
