This is my first project in a several years, just getting back into building minis. This is my daily driver, so i will post as i go.
The ride: 1984 720 long bed the reason why the project got underway early and the front clip came first. ![]() front gutted of all crushed parts and inner fenders (didnt need em anyway) ![]() Geo metro brake booster and shortened stock booster bracket ![]() 280z water pump and painted pullys ![]() 7" day lighters, trailer turn signals, and temporary mesh grill (straight from the masonry isle at lowes). this got me by until i finally decided what to do to the front end. ![]() now for some fun. VW core support and bumper mount ![]() fender moc up. ![]() core done, fender and hood ready to start welding. ![]() Fender welded. ![]() more to come after this weekend Last edited by thor342; 11-03-2012 at 07:32 AM. |

this could be pretty damn cool. I wonder about the body lines though. I guess it's a fairly easy fix if you can graft the front in like you are doing.
I'm not one to tell you what to do to your truck, but are you sure a "rat rod" interior fits a 720 with a jetta front end? lol |

Never seen that done before! Keep the pics coming interested to see whats in store. Im not a huge fan of the VIP or stanced looking vehicles but I think that style may be perfect for your truck.

Thanks guys! The body line issue will be an easy fix. Will be a Z shape where its welded.
And im not a fan of stanced look either. |

Awesome. Great stuff man.
I love this look: ![]() I could see my next project being all white truck with a black front end. Maybe flush look hidden bumper. |
