Next i wanted to go manual steering, but didnt want to buy new.
I was able to come across a used manual.gear box from a hardbody.
Here is the mod to make it work.

Here is what u start with. A 3 bolt 720 frame rail.

Cut the upper part off at the welds so u can reuse it later

Then you have to trim it down to the barrel like so.

Then using the hardbody bolts, put in the upper front and lower real using the holes still in the frame.

Next bolt in that piece that you cut earlier. It can go on top or bottom. Tack it into place. For the 4th bolt i used some 1/8 wall 2x2 tubing and a couple shock bushing sleeves to duplicate the upper mount.
Here it is all welded up.

As for the idler arm. It bolts upusing two bolts in the fram and make one mount. Pics to come of that later. The last thing with this mod is you have to flip and rotate the center link and rotate the rod end half turn.
