a CEL finally popped on on my cluster, read the code last night and it’s saying it’s a 45 which is a leaking injector. i suppose that would explain why the truck randomly runs like shit here and there and why i’ve been smelling raw fuel lately. gonna do a pressure test of the fuel system when i get a chance and go from there. i found what looks to be oem red hitatchi injectors, pretty sure the same ones that are currently in my truck for just over $200 for all four. i’ll post again once i get things for sure figured out.

everything i came across is saying the junction by the passenger front wheel is either a 4 way or the one that had the master with three ports. mine has 5 junctions and the top three are separate from the bottom two so eliminating one line and making a new one isn’t in the cards. i’m putting in a tee where the load valve was and i’m re bending the hard lines to get it in. i’ll post pics when it’s done and during photos as well. not sure how it’s going to end up but i don’t give a fuck, i’ll figure it out.

here’s what we were working with before, it wasn’t just hanging, i just didn’t get a pic before hand, but it was leaking like crazy.
![]() what we came up with. ![]() and the finished product. ![]() ![]() brakes took a little bit to bleed and the pedal feel was still complete garbage. they would pump up and feel great while at a stop, as soon as i would start moving the pedal feel would get worse and worse till the pedal would hit the floor. ended up pulling the rear drums off to see what was going on and made some adjustments and the brakes feel good now, still a little soft but progress. i ordered new drums and shoes that will be in tomorrow and i’ll see if that helps some more. |

Nice work, EF2 !! i always wondered what that thing (the load sensing valve) was.
the more you know.... does anyone know why EF2 has a straight gearshifter shaft and boot with a small hole? whereas mine has a bent and flared shifter, and a boot with a big hole? and that boot seems to be ripped on most i have seen, including mine. i saw EF2's type of shifter in a 97 king cab, could that be why? KC vs RC?

has anyone done what i’ve done with no issues? my brakes this morning were doing the same thing going to the floor. cruised it around the neighborhood at a slow rate and the brakes felt decent again. we changed drums and shoes and the brakes are still fairly decent, but will occasionally want to almost go to the floor. only thing i can think of now is that i need to install a prop valve somewhere in the lines.
