little update, since i drive truck daily and dont have room in garage everything i do is a race against time and Washington weather so get a little done then spray whatever paint i got to prevent rust until i work on that something again. anyways onward with the update. yesterday got the bottom side of the bed welds ground down and some final trimming done. also sounds like not going to do a tilt bed but a large cut out in floor that will hinge up to get to everything.

and then today picked up some 1x2 c channel to connect the bed frame to the bedside, only got 2 done today.

thats all

Been a while since ive updated been busy with a bunch of stuff, just finished bagging the rear of my friends s10.

so with my truck ive been getting some more done, mainly on the bed floor which the main frame is finished and i got it and areas around it in some epoxy primer.

so bed plans were changed the floor i was going to put in was going to be to much of a hassle so looked at my choices and thought why not build a wood floor!!! so that's whats going to happen did a mock up on Google sketch of what i want it to look like. also just ordered the stainless steel bed strips and then going to do my own wood with some type of oak unsure of any stains yet.

and to finish up started a gas mount which will be hidden under to wood floor which needs welding and yada. More to come!

So heres a well needed update so here it goes!
so before i started on the wood floor i added two more cross supports and filled all open areas on tubs then seam sealed.

after i finished wheel tubs went to home depot and got 8 redoak hardwood boards.

so thats when i needed to figure out how to cut the boards to fit the stainless bed strips i got from mar-k

the first two were a learning curve just to figure out how to cut and drill, and center everything.

once i got an idea i was able to go a little faster, until i got to the boards on the outer edge which needed to be trimed to fit around everything.

and after two weeks of cutting, drilling, thinking, this is how it looks! still not stained.

and hears how the fuel door works!

and there it is! ordered my stain and sealer should be here next week. just need to finish the back wall to the raised bed floor and get the outer edges of the bed rhino lined! stay tuned!
