wear one of those super tall winter hats with the ear flaps.



incidentally a friend has one that was russian army surplus and he wears it in eastern oregon on the farm. he said its actually too warm, so imagine how cold it is in the permafrost of "moth-ar-raw-shaw"

Changed out the rear differential, also found a clean set of leaf-springs off a 93 4X4 and installed those as well. I bought new seals and bearings but decided to roll the dice and just install the replacement differential as is. I'm tired of working on my rear-bearing issue.

Got everything buttoned back up and heard no noises during a long test drive. WOOHOO! I'll keep the new parts just in case.

Now I get to start working on the interior.

Tried to replace the front shocks today... PB Blaster and still could not get the bolts off... So I cranked on by torsion bars instead and dropped the front... backed the nut off about 1/2" and it only dropped a 1/4"... will take the wheels off again tomorrow and get it about another 1/2" lower to level out.

I can see these shocks wont want to cooperate at all.

Which ones are you having trouble with? The one on the bottom where it bolts to the control arm or the stud and nut on the top?
