Default where to tap for keyed-hot power?

Truck: 1996 king cab, 4cyl 5spd.

anyone know which fuse would be good for adding an "add-a-circuit" ? Im using it for the signal to a pair of seat heater relays so they cant be left on without the truck being running.

thoughts?

It should as long as the radio comes on when you turn the key on. FWIW I tapped into the cig lighter to power the aftermarket tach.

I tapped into the cigarette lighter circuit to feed a relay to my fog lights.

think i like the lighter for signal to the relay. will do that. i seldom use the cig lighter to the point where i scored a "12V DC" cover for the opening and tossed the lighter in the glove box

I use the lighter circuit as well and just have it fire relays for all my key-activated stuff.
