Default Hey Guys! Just Joined the Hardbody Family

got a new to me 93 Hardbody base (reg cab/short bed 2wd, manual everything) last week..

Runs pretty good, a little rough on idle when warm (might be an injector) but real smooth everywhere else, and a little leak by the passenger footwell that I think I know how to fix.

Anyway wanted to say what's up, I'm in NYC if anyone in the area wants to meet up.

Also was wondering why it's called "Infamous Nissan"? What did the hardbody ever do? lol

Welcome to the site. Any pictures of the truck? For the rough idle, check cold solder joint.

Just a name ScottGTR thought of when he made the site. IIRC.

Thanks, dvdswan. What is a cold solder joint?

Here are a couple pics. I want to change out the camper to one that's more level and less noisy, but other than that not going to do much other than new tires and undercoat it now that its on the east coast!

Welcome to IN... We do like eye candy. Manual everything is so simple, you'll be happy. You can fix it.

Ummmm, you have a D21 that has probably outlasted many GM/American trucks... that, in itself, should say all you need to know.

Welcome to infamous! Here’s a link that shows the location of the solder joint that DVD referenced. http://www.infamousnissan.com/forum/...ad.php?t=25332

I was going to post your pictures but they are huge. You can shrink them down and then post them if you'd like.

Thanks, here are a shrank down images. still haven't done much to the truck, but i want to change to topper since its really loud on the highway. Do you guys know if a King Cab (74.6" bed) cap would fit on the standard cab bed (73.8")? Saw one for sale locally. Is the .8" negligible?

Thanks for that PIC change...

Beds are different lengths, king to standard beds; there's a thread relating to this... somewhere.

Just take it off, if it's too loud. That gap, from the top of the cab to the bottom front of the topper is where your noise is coming from.
