Default 1986 D21 No start

I have a 1986 D21 4x4 manual 4 cylinder. It starts one day and doesnt the next. When I give it gas it wants to die. When I left off it idles but loping. It is stock through and through. Has spark, fuel, timing is not perfectly set yet but I need it to run long enough to set properly. Any idea where to start?

Probably at least as bad as a Jeep so worse than a cow.
