I know this is an old thread, but I have a new question: I have LEDs, and I think it's been stated that this mod won't work with them, but it doesn't say whether or not the "hyperflash" resistors would help out in this. I don't have the resistors currently, but thinking of doing this to my truck and will get them if needed.

Will this mod work with LEDs and resistors?

This works because the turn signal filament and corner marker filament have much different resistance values. Not only that, but the corner marker filament has to be able to pass voltage in both directions. One way to illuminate, and the other to backfeed to ground when the blinker is ON.

LEDs have neither of those characteristics. You could add resistors to simulate the filaments, and try it. My guess is that the blinker resister would have to be a larger value than the marker's value.

So is there a way to wire them in a series, so that the same signal passes through both the bumper blinker and the Corner marker, causing the corner to blink simultaneously with the bumper?

Edit: nevermind, I think this would cause me to lose the Corner as a marker and would be "blinker only"

Not if you had the proper bulb assy in the corner marker. Need a 3 wire plug in...

Probably at least as bad as a Jeep so worse than a cow.

Correct. I'm just trying to work with what I have and not re-wire the the whole system. I'm probably just going to keep it as is for now. A previous owner has hacked up the wires, bypassed the connection on the PS side, and had nothing but black tape to secure the connection. I have my soldering wand out and am making proper connections. I just wanted to make sure of this, before I buttoned everything up.
