Yeah, it's not the length so much as it is the location of the wheel arch.

Thanks for the thread link HBV6.. I'd like a camper on the bed but not one this loud. I'm taking this one off and going to see the local one, see if it fits.

The owner lists it as 76" long, which i think will work alright, my current one is 75" long and there's at least a 1" gap to clear the top of the cab because it has a steep forward angle. Looks like it was meant for a VW pickup or something that has a really steeply sloped cab back.

Same dimensions and angle as mine. Mine came off of a Ford ranger. I added a plastic strip to close the gap at the bottom, but mine is flush with the cab at the top, so it is quiet.
Maybe searching for a Ranger cap will yield some results if you can't dind one for a hardbody.

Yours must have come off of something with a taller cab as well as the different length and angle.

(That big hole ahead of me is the Grand Canyon.) They wouldn't let me wheel my truck here. :-(

Here you can see the white plastic strip that I riveted to the bottom edge to keep rain and wind out of the gap.

My bed is 76"

The cap is more like 75" at the bottom, front to back.

With the back hatch even with the tailgate, there is about a 1" gap along the front of the bed. The front angle is slightly off, but it looks OK. It gets closer to the cab roof as it gets to the top.

It is all molded ABS plastic. Not fiberglass. VERY light. I've carried it by myself on my back. Made by Brahma, which is an extinct company.
