It's at this point I remember how much I HATE shaving hardbody tail lights. The stamped fillers suck so bad. I don't know how many hours I've spent shaping shaved lights lol

The fit on these wasnt that bad at all to begin with. A few months ago I spent some time doing a little pre trimming & shaping so they're pretty close now. The skin was pretty much dead on right out of the box... Once I trimmed the bed out for the license plate lol.
I've been both dreading this because it's gonna be labor intensive but, more so looking forward to the shaved back at the same time because, it's a mod I always wanted to have.

That's a sexy rear. Getting those body lines shaped is gonna be a lot of fun, I never got mine right whe I did my Cadillac light buckets.

The biggest problem is that the bodyline that runs though the fillers is not "crisp" enough. It's much more rounded than the factory line. On my son's grant tailgate the angles of the body line didn't precisely match the factory line either. But that wasn't really a huge problem, it was easily hidden in the transition around the corner.

All this talk about shaved rears makes me want to bust out the welder. In due time for sure gonna shave cowl doors and the rear once I figure out a layout I like. But good work guys

Agree 100%. You would think that since they came from the same place that the lines would be pretty much identical but they're not.
