Default Hood vs Hood

So my problem/question is this
I want this hood on my truck !

I found one at a junk yard for about $60 I would need to have it prep for paint.not sure of the cost of that and paint.

OR

I could buy new for $150-200 including shipping. Already prep for paint.

What do you all think?

Is the old steel better ? I would think fit would be better,

What say you?

It really depends on the condition of the junkyard hood. As long as it's not dented up or rusted I'd get it. $60 isn't bad.

the j/y hood, check the ribs to see if they are still glued to the skin, mine broke free, tried to re-glue, didn't work, when the glue dried it sucked the skin down leaving dimples.. bought a new style hood

You can get the hood and hinges off with just 2 bolts.

The OEM hood will be better quality than the aftermarket
