Default Denso Air Filter

Denso part #143-3058.
Has anybody used this?Where does it go?Does it replace the old cai and basically bolts straight onto the throttle body? This is where I would assume it would go. The two ports on top look like they go to the valve cover and that stupid charcoal canister that everybody gets rid of. Whatever. RockAuto has a closeout for them for something around $2.50 so I bought one just to see what I could do with it, if I wanted to(I don't plan on removing cold air to replace it with hot air). Just curious, nothing more.

Where does this go in the interior of the vehicle? Probably should have this post moved to the proper section.

CAIs are garbage for filtration, give zero benefit if not pulling more air than a factory air box can support and the abomination most call a CAI has nothing to do with cold air but instead sucks all the hot air from the engine bay in hurting power and efficiently. Your factory intake is a true CAI.

As you posted absolutely zero info on the filter I'm going to tell you to skip it and just go to Napa and get a Napa gold paper filter and use your OEM setup.

That part number is the filter for the AIV, If your truck has the AIV it would be on the drivers side inner fender, round metal housing.

I don't recall having the AIV filter in my 94 VG30E

Thanks ahardbody for the response. That was my other guess but the holes in the top kinda threw me off. Ive got an idea to use it elsewhere. I don't know why I posted this in this category.
