Default $3000 budget build!

So last month I picked up a two wheel drive 1995 Nissan Hardbody, regular cab 4 cyl, 5 spd. I have had mini trucks in the past, but never a Hardbody. I have an idea of what I want out of this truck, it will be something I can run around it and enjoy. Not a daily driver, not a show truck, but something that will get noticed and be appreciated.

So the list started out easy... Repair the dented drivers fender, make sure it is mechanically sound... and has since grew. I ordered parts for it last week and now stuff is starting to arrive. So here is the list...

18 inch Titan wheels and new tires. Tires arrived and I got a set of five spoke Titan rims from the junk yard with center caps. Rims need to be milled and tires need to be mounted and balanced.

Lowered. I have monoleafed the rear, plan to redrill the front hangers and I have spindles on the way. Once I get the spindles on I will use the torsion bars to level everything out.

Engine will be tuned up and I will do an EGR delete. No mods.

Interior will get new carpet (on the way), custom door panels, console, window tint, custom audio system and Pathfinder bucket seats. I picked up the seats today, and I received a package from Knukonceptz with all the wire and interconnect and sound deadening for the doors.

Exterior will receive paint correction, but for now it will not be painted. I picked up a lower valance, and a pair of fenders from a Pathfinder today. Ordered a new bumper, but they refunded my payment, so looking for one to order now. Those parts will need to be painted, but I will get color matched spray paint and 2K clear to keep costs down for the time being.

I am sure some other things will pop up, but this is the build list for now. I will post pics and prices to see how close I can get to $3000.

Alpine CDA-117 head unit. Last of the SQ units made by Alpine

Image Dynamics CTX65CS 6.5" components. Entry level speaker set, but I already have them

2 Dayton Audio 10" Shallow mount subs. Dual 4 ohm

GS Redline GS10000 3 channel amp. Again, something ai had for a long time.

Since the budget is so low, I decided to cheat anduse equipment I already had. Lol

I would look into putting a good coat of paint or bedliner on the back side of the bumper. Will help it last a little longer in FL.

I used undercoating on the back of my 3pc front bumper, before installing. It took 4 or 5 days to dry enough to install.

Good tip.

I got a painted bumper instead of a chrome one, so when I paint it I will hit the back too.

Is rust an issue with these trucks? Mine does not have a spec of rust anywhere on it.
