The echo from the shop is like Zeus proclaiming information from Mt. Olive.

My god though, to hell with that. Id rather construct a pass through in the cab firewall. Its almost like you got to flip the truck upside down.

My goodness. I thought the heater hoses on my ka were a bitch. I had to unbolt rear trans member and jack up to tip engine forward. Those hoses on the vg should of definetely been hard piped. "Remove intake and tip to side to unbolt hoses from it" what was Nissan thinking? Good luck caddy.

i dont think mine will be as bad. i have the throttle bodied engine, so there isnt a large plenum in the way. its still gonna be a big pain.

Had to make this a sticky. I had to pull the intake manifold to replace the valve cover gaskets on my sons truck and in the process I generated a coolant leak. Lucky me. Gonna be a shitty day today. The only inspection mirror I have is the size of a quarter and I can't see where it's leaking from.

I recall changing one of those hoses on my former Pathfinder. I don't think it was as bad as it looks.

Here are a couple pictures I took while I had my truck torn down to replace the head gasket. It's so much easier to see back there with the manifold off, isn't it?

It's a little tight back there but definitely doable. A word to the wise: disconnect the battery first. The nipple is right above the starter and getting shocked isn't a very pleasant experience. Also, the inlet pipes on the firewall are made of soft metal, so no pliers. You can see I mangled the upper one and had to bend it back out. I really dodged a bullet there. I feel for you VG guys, anyone able to reach back in there probably isn't old enough to work yet.
