Missed out on the Cabelas ammo free shipping but grabbed a 1400 round tub of Ramington Golden Bullet at wallyworld for 70 bucks.

Looking into making some AR lowers and have myself a new project on the way. Finnish Suomi M31! A 1930s 9mm burp gun the PPSh is said to be patterned after after the Russians got annihilated by the M31 in the Winter War.

Looks like this with 16" barrel. One in the photo is made by TNW out of Oregon. They are no longer made.

This photo is not mine but eventually I will have this sort of setup!

The Suomi is very interesting. 9mm, uses an air buffer, mag or drum fed with options of 36rnd mag, 50 round coffin mag or 71 round drum. The receivers look like a tube welded to some plate but are actually forged an milled. Barrels are said to be very close to match grade and they had to fire 10 rounds on semi at 100 yards in the 10 ring and 50 on FA in the 8 or 9 ring before the military would accept them.

I've got one of those M31 Mine's currently awaiting the ATF's blessing so I can put a 10" barrel on it.

EDIT: DH I tried to PM you but your box is full. Text below:

Hey man, you may already know this but clearview investments is clearancing their M31 parts kits. $169 for the parts kit and 10 mags is hard to pass up! They have the compensated and uncompensated kits. I ordered the standard slant cut version. It came with that card you were talking about that they used to test accuracy attached to it, never used. Poor old soldier never got issued before getting cut apart

Woah! 10 mags! Got mine for about $150 with a drum from Centerfire Systems. Hoping it arrives today! Mine is without the compensater which should be fine. Ill probably either store the original barrel for later or go the TNW way. Any tips on building one up? I really dont want to go reduced ID and want to go hammer fired with a small blocking bar. Thinking AR FCG, modified of course. Id prefer to clean up the original receiver and weld together. First step is inquiring a welder, time off work and a place to weld!

My PPSh was one of those never issued. I wore the blue off the lower more in the first 10 rounds than was worn when I got it!

I think it will be the coolest thing ever! The PPSh and its inspiration!

PM box cleaned out a bit. Thanks for the heads up!

Mine's a TNW build. I haven't started building any of my parts kits yet (don't have a welder yet) so I can't offer much advice there. I got the most recent parts kit mostly for the slant cut shroud (the compensator isn't needed IMO, since these things weight 12lb or so) and stick mags.

This page may be of interest.

Is hellbox finally doing stuff? I was going to have him do some PPSh stuff but was not taking any more work and not selling anything.

Komorade PPSh is back in light strike hell! GSG STG44 runs like a champ when I I am not a complete idiot and somehow manage to load the mag projectile down then jam everything up. And then P22 runs like clockwork as usual with golden bullet bulk!

And if you spill tannerite you can just shoot it again and set it off. It actually made a bigger hole like that!

The stock is pretty but very dark. Freaking torch cutting is stupid.
