Yep, they're full auto only. There's only a few parts to the FA ones. I've got the parts to build one, just waiting to get my class 3 license I'd go ahead and SBR it myself. It's more fun having the stock.
Any places you recommend checking for barrels?

Most guys that do the conversion say that all they do is pop the pin out, slide the old out and the new in and go shooting.

For some reason they are saying 34 and not 35 for the 9mm. I wonder if it has to do with the spring messing up the top round.

Hmm, that would be fun! I found a place that might have a good deal on x25 but I have no experiance with corrosive ammo and not sure the extent I would need to clean it if the ammo is corrosive.

Thats a good lookin AR man!

I've bought some other barrels from http://www.indianapolisordnance.com/pps43.html Indianapolis Ordnance before. Always been happy with them. I've not bought any PPS43 barrels specifically, but I do plan to.

Interesting. I'll definitely be interested to hear how your conversion goes. That's odd about the magazines.

I've shot a lot of corrosive through my PPS. It's fairly gnarly looking from the previous owner not cleaning it properly (I bought mine before they were readily available) but still works fine. When I shoot corrosive through it I just take everything apart and spray it with that Break Free bore scrubber stuff, then wipe it down with a rag with Hoppes on it, then repeat with a rag with oil on it. Seems to do fine. Main thing you want to make sure to clean real well is the bore and the bolt face.

Not a bad trade, I've got a 535 myself. Love that gun. The 835 is supposed to be even nicer.

EDIT: Got the PPS out today. Performing the actual SBR conversion on this is going to be a bit crap. I'm beginning to wonder if it wouldn't be easier to just cut the gun's butt off and weld the folding bit from my parts kit to it...

Is your stock welded? Mine isn't. I just have to add the spring to the button and drill the hole out.

Dam the Internet and cheap gun parts. Ordered a PPS kit. 50 bucks for a complete parts kit minus barrel but has 3 mags, mag pouch and sling. Centerfire systems has them for that price till Friday!

Also bought a G3 lower because it was super cheap for an HK part. I don't even own a HK! 80 bucks for a FA HK G3/91 lower that is complete. That's a steal especially when a claw mount is easily 200 bucks!

You lucky mug. Mine's welded. I'm probably going to end up grinding the ends off the bar that the button is attached to and milling out a new one. Going to try to avoid having to do that but I'll do whatever it takes. Level up my gunsmithing skills some.

PPS kits are showing $70 for me when I look at their site I've already got one but I wouldn't mind having a spare.

Kits went back up on friday. Just got my kit. The normal PPS is even more simple that I thought. Makes the semi version look downright complicated.

How the hell do I get the buffer out. The kit has a brand new polymer buffer and my SA PPS has a leather one that looks to be decomposing from age.

Ah ok. Yeah man, the full auto one barely has any parts at all. It seems like they cost just a few dollars each to make during WWII.

Just cut the old buffer off with some srs bzns scissors or a razor blade. You can buy new ones from blackjack that just sit around the spring instead of being skewered on the spring guide rod. http://www.blackjackbuffers.com/inde...roducts_id=876

PPS-43 SBR progress update

I got all the welds cut. Couldn't salvage the crossbar that locks the stock open, had to cut it up pretty bad to get it out of the gun. Had a spare parts kit in my safe so I was able to get the button, spring, and lock bar out of that. FYI, the button hole in the receiver is 27/64". I'm waiting on that drill bit to come in, should be Wednesday. I tried getting by with a 3/8" but it's just not quite big enough.

Sweet! Mine is the IO 43c which mean a 15.5mm trunion, not a standard 16.5mm. Looks like SBR is my easiest route.
