Default Another 3.3 swap question

Hello guys,

My Truck is a2000 2.4 King cab and I am enjoying it. However there are times where a bit more power would be appreciated. So the only way this would make financial sense would be to buy a pathfinder or Xterra and strip it of all the parts necessary at my leisure.

Before I have people derail my question please know the following:
1. This Frontier is a toy for me my Daily Driver is a 2015 Pathfinder
2. It is not about the money for me. I like projects and tinkering
3. I am a Gen-X and grew up fixing cars and swapping engines
4. My truck is lowered and I like it, not interested in Desert Runner or 4x4 frame versions.

I have searched and searched, but it seams many never start or complete this project.

Questions:
1. Is the frame the same in the front clip for motor mounts?
2. Did Nissan offer a 3.3 in 2wd non Desert Runner frames?
3. Is there a better donor vehicle to use?

Yes, the V6 was available in non desert runner trucks in 2wd. Not sure on the frame, may just need the V6 motor mounts.

I have never seen a 2wd v6 d22 that wasn't a desert runner. You can use the mounts from a v6 d21 truck I imagine.

Yeah, as far as I've seen any V6 d22 was either desert runner, 4wd, or crew cab. All of which where built on the 4wd frame even they were only rwd. I'm not aware of a V6 D22 in what we all consider to be the standard traditional 2wd platform.

funny you guys refer to frames as 2wd and 4wd, in AUS we only got 4wd frames, or as far as it looked to me when I compared my friends truck to mine
