thanks for the feedback. these parts are getting harder to find. as these trucks age, parts will only become harder to find. if you have a junkyard near you, scavenging good parts will become a hobby for you lol

LOL i try to get what i can, but since both of mine are V6 trucks, i dont get many engine parts for spares.

Does anyone know what the current rating for these fusible links are?
I've blown the one in my 1990 D21 (originally had a carbureted Z24 engine), and they're proving hard to come by over here. I seem to have a 24022-01G00 from comparing the photos, but with one blue and one black wire as shown in some pics of it (though some sources say I should have a 24022-01G05). The blue wire was blown (burned off) while the black is intact, the short causing it to blow was at the ignition switch.

If I can't find a replacement fusible link at a reasonable cost I could fairly easily rewire it to a pair of regular fuses (as most modern cars have), but for that I'd like to have a better idea of the appropriate size for them.
