Derp. The guy that measured my stud fragment and told me it was M8X1.5 was wrong. I remeasured, it is in fact M8X1.25. You guys were correct.

JP, just spent $3.00 on the test of the hardware. That's the bolts and nuts for the Y pipe, 2 new nuts for the mani stud and 4 new studs. I only need to replace the one but figured a couple spare studs would be good.

You'd think I'd be all excited about doing this mod, but I find myself putting it off because I know it's going to be a lot of work.

I thought it would be super easy. Today after work on my day off I cut the exhaust apart, cut the emissions controls out. To kinda get one header in I had to unhook the steering. Still need to figure out how to plug the bungs on the header for emissions. And get that side on completely.

Then pull the bad stud on the other side and slip that side into place. Make an EGR blockoff plate, remove the AIV and drive it.

I think I'll ask around to see if a shop around here will do it for me.

I work M-F from 8 to 5 at my office job, then do a 2nd job on the weekends using the truck that pulls in an extra $200. Generally, that extra $200 goes towards truck mods/repairs anyway.

Having a shop do it is probably a good idea. I usually work 9-5 and whenever else Im needed. If I had a good 2-3 days off in a row I think it would be done.

Im having fun though, except last night when I got pissed at a couple bolts and wanted to burn it to the ground.

I feel that way sometimes working on cars. When they start acting up and not cooperating for the ease of installing the new parts. I sit there and talk to them like "its a shiny new part, you're gonna love it. No let go of the old shit and let me finish this or I swear to god I'm pushing you into the nearest lake." lol

Hahaha! I was threatening it with all sorts of profanity and viking deaths. Then I felt bad and had to apologize because the truck has never given me any problems.

Called Pacesetter this morning while at work. They told me the emissions bungs are M22x1.5 and M24x1.5. One is roughly 1" deep and the other 1.5" deep. A roughly .75" bolt should seal them nicely.

My parent's constantly go on to me about "always out fixing something on my truck" It's like yeah but I enjoy doing these things and i'm saving $70 an hour labour on anything I do. Half the time i'm looking for things to customize and change.

How's the headers coming along? I wish I had some spare cash to buy a set for my truck.

Well. I'm at work right now. Borrowing my dads level 1 chipped superduty so life isn't too bad.

What needs to be done :

Replace one broken stud
Finish header install
Plug emissions bungs - not sure how to do this yet.
Finish emissions delete.

Autocorrect hates car terms.
