Default 1991 d21 locking hubs

When i lock the front hubs on my d21 it has this amazing abillity to stop itself on an incline just wandering if this is normal or if i need to start tearing stuff apart ive own this truck for about 7 months now used the 4x4 quite a few times but i was always off road heading to a hunting spot but i noticed today on icey roads that as im slowing down i dont even need to touch the brakes it will stop on its own

That doesn't sound good. It should coast and roll similarly to 2wd. My truck feels no different in 2wd as it does in 4wd.

If I were you I would lift it up and start moving things around with my hands. Do it with hubs unlocked and in 2wd, hubs locked and 2wd, hubs locked and Tcase in neutral and if you can hubs locked and in 4wd but you will need to lift the entire truck for that.

You should be able to get under there and spin stuff by hand. Good luck!
