Default 94 Nissan Gauge Cluster

Hi Everyone!

In need of help. Just bought a 1994 Nissan SE V6 4x4 Automatic.

None of the gauges work. Tach moves on occasion. Speedo jumps to 10mph when you turn the key on but stays there. Occasionally jumps up to 40 when driving. No Temp or Fuel gauge either.

All gauge lights work.

I pulled the cluster and re-soldered the pins on the mylar circuit board. I checked all the fusible links (good).

Anything else to check before I try a new cluster?

Trying to not waste money.

Thanks for any help I get!

Jeff

you have a voltage regulator on the back of the cluster, little square box, might be part of the problem

Update:

I did the tests per the service manual I found on this site.

I have voltage to the cluster, and all lights work. The fuel gauge failed the grounding test, so that's bad. Speedometer jumps to 10mph when you turn the key on, but stays there. Tach doesn't move at all.

Looks like I need a new cluster. Or, should I send out mine to get rebuilt?

I appreciate any advice here!

Still have not got this figured out.

So, which clusters will work with my truck?

1994 Hardbody extended cab 4x4. 3.0, Auto and cruise.

The cluster in the truck has no gear indicator like I've seen pictures of.

Part number on the cluster is 24810-2b021.

Any help is much appreciated!

Do Automatics have the gear indicator in the gauge cluster? The one in my truck doesn't. Maybe I have the wrong cluster? Does anyone know what cluster interchanges for certain?

1994 Hardbody 4x4 SE-V6 Auto Cruise with Tach.

Thanks!

There is auto no gear indicator in the later dash cluster. Not sure about other details for your application, but I have swapped auto clusters into manual and only one had a low A/T fluid level light illuminate. I suspect any 94-95 4x4 Pathfinder cluster will work in your truck.
