Default Alternator tensioner bolt kit

97 D21, manual. Belt is slipping in low gears and has snapped three times now over the last 18 months. The tensioner bolt for the v-belt mounted to the alternator was missing when I bought it and had been replaced by a single bolt. I probably shouldíve replaced it to begin with... Iím not a mechanic, so what Iím talking about mounts to the alternator and looks like this:

All my searches come up for Frontiers and Iím stuck here. I donít post much, but you guys have helped me more than you can imagine. Any help is much appreciated!

If your Nissan parts department doesn't have it and cannot get it, you're going to have to go to a junk yard to find it.

The sellers on eBay don't even list parts like those. They just send them off to be scrap iron.

These are not wear items that typically go out.

The adjusting bolts strip out from improper use, so that's why you found that part on the website.

I would think that these brackets and adjusting bolts should be pretty standard through the years that Nissan put the KA24d engine in these trucks. So, finding something at a junk yard should not be impossible. Even a truck that has been stripped of parts should still have these parts.

If it's just the bolt you might be able to find a long bolt at the hardware store that will fit. It's M8x1.25 thread pitch. Unfortunately a lot of them aren't threaded the whole length of the bolt.
