Default Tail light problem.

When the head light switch is on there is no parking/running lights. The brake lights work when I hit the pedal but noohing else and my turn singles blink normally but arnt flashing in the back.

if the fuse is good, i would suspect the switch. do the tag lights work? the headlight switch is a known point of failure for these trucks. when mine went bad, i had both low beams, but only one high beam and the flash to pass didnt work that well.

EDIT:
has someone added a trailer wire harness to the truck? if the front turn signals work and the front parking lights work but not the rear, id bet its in the wiring somewhere. do you have interior dash lights?

All light work fine up front. There's no trailer wiring done. I replaced the dash light fuse that was blown. I just don't have the parking, reverse, or turn signals in the rear.

Have you checked the bulbs? Also check the condition of the bulb sockets. If that's good, the headlight switch is prone to failure.

also, replace your indicator/washer stalk cluster. Simple, easy and very cheap. The problems you are describing were exactly the problems I had once.

I'll look into these tomorrow. And start narrowing down some possibilities. Thanks for the help!

the tail light harness connects somewhere in the right rear wheel well area. i think there is another junction around the frame under the tailgate area too.

the t/lmp harness, the one with the sockets, can give you issues (oem pt# B6551-01G00) they are cheap

Ok got it all working. There was a loose connection in the middle of the harness. Some of the wires popped out of the plastic plug.

I'm currently experiencing a similar problem... Tail lights and dash lights not working... The idiot who owned the truck before me has definitely tampered with trailer wiring, but I can't seem to pinpoint the problem. The rear running lights measure a current of about .5-1V when I turn on my headlights, but bulbs wont illuminate. Does this sound like the common issues that are associated with the headlamp switch, or should I be hunting for a loose ground?
