Anyone know what these wires are for?

what color are the wires on the other side of the plug?

Look like fusible links

those are fusible links, they should have gone into a medium sized black plastic chunk that bolts to the terminal.



new fusibles and that black chunk can be gotten for around $25 or less, depending

Have those 3 wires always been disconnected? If so I'm sure something wouldn't be working

what is that red wire in the first pic? No terminal on it just wrapped behind the washer?

Is that some kind of battery bolt extension?

You may want to pick up a pair of Military style terminals from O'Riely auto parts they are very good, made from zinc not lead, more conductive and easy to add additional wires, plus, when you have to remove the battery you only loosen one bolt and don't mess with the other bolt where you have all your connections.

The red wire on the battery is the previous owners "fix" for the headlights... "They don't work, so I ran some wires from this switch to make em work" was the response I got. Those three wires have been like that since I bought the truck and it was running perfect before the overheating issue I've been having. I'm not sure if he bypassed these or really how to fix the problem
