Spent hours cleaning it up, only for it to rain hours later. Oh well, still looks alot better.

fuckers are impossible to bleed. took me like 6-drive/bleed cycles to get all the air out. every drive seemed to loosen a bubble and make it drive like shit. irritating. i installed speed bleeders and that seemed to help.

incidentally, the bleeding procedure for the 96 is slightly different than any other car ive ever read. kinda worth noting.
since when do u have to bleed the brakes just doing a brake pad rotor install?

calipers. 5th word

and if you do brakes correctly, you flush fluid when you do pads.

Replaced bearings and seals in my disc brake H233B on Saturday. Had to deal with rain off and on.
I used all Nissan seals that I ordered from YEPEE last Saturday and some bearings that I ordered Sunday evening "just in case". Glad I ordered those bearings.

It turns out that the bearing cages failed, which allowed the rollers to bunch up. That let the axle run off-center, causing the seals to let oil out.

I made good use of my press, but much of my time was spent coming up with stuff to use as press adapters. It turned into an all-day job, but I should be good for another 24 years.

your umbrella/canopy setup is genius

also kinda interesting that those are roller bearings and not ball or conical. is that typical?
