Default Cruise Control Fix

i got a 97 HB and i putting factory cruise back in i got parts of ebay. I need help on schematic or diagnos issues. i installed the vacum chamber hooked up the throttle cable. i replaced the button in cab on left side i press it now it lights up green butt there are no dash lights and when you press the steering wheel button nothing hapens,.

If it did not have cruise stock, the ring behind the steering wheel probably has to be replaced, non cruise vehicles would have a ring with one contact point where cruise equipped vehicles have a ring with 3 contact points.

Pathfinder contact rings with cruise pictured below, non cruise wouod have one of the copper colored rings:
