Default 1986.5 Hardbody 4x4 Restoration

Hi folks.
Posting pics of my D21 4x4 Restoration. I'm a japanese car hoarder and my boss offered me his old ranch truck for $500. It was pretty toached from the desert sun but the bones were solid. Body and interior were shot as well as every piece of rubber and fabric. Torsion bars were shot but mechanically pretty nice. Passed California smog after sitting for years. Im about 80% finished and hopefully will be done in a week. The process has been 7 months and im anxious to move on to another project.

Default SierraKids Hardbody Resto

A few more pics. You can see my boys helping pops out witht the bodywork and welding.
I shot the OEM color (single stage) in my buddys paint booth.

The bedliner i sprayed is Al's Bedliner which is decent but it aint no Rhino Lining (good for a DIY'er). Seems to be pretty durable.

Installing the fender flares which i also coated with Al's Bedliner they look amazing.

Ordered 31 inch tires which hopefully will be here this week then on to the beefier Sway-Away torsion bars.

Default Hardbody build

Total all in including the price of the truck is $2,600. I did the bodywork myself which save a ton. I got the interior stuff on ebay for a great deal from an east coast salvage yard.
