I used the Rattle can vinyl dye. Went from tan to gray. 3-4 coats and no issues so far. I think it's been about 2 years since I did that.

added, radio/CD, carpet, map light, rear speakers w/amp, changed the black frt bmpr to chrome w/top pad, added a rr chrome bmpr, grille guard, fender flare's, 4wd alum whls, all oe stuff.. mine also did not have a frt stab bar... I have one for it, just havent put it on yet! lol

I went the custom headliner route. Was it annoying? Yes. Do you need a pretty good attention to detail to make it work? Yes. Is it worth it, not having to see a greasy 32 year old headliner above you? Also yes.

Can get good quality headliner fabric from headlinermagic.com. That’s where I got the stuff to refurbish mine.

That looks rad. might finally get around to doing mine when it warms up. Was that from the regular fabric store?

Yes from a regular (although large) fabric store in Edmonton, AB. It's a pretty heavy material, almost like a very thin wool blanket. I made sure to get something thick to help make sure no glue seeped through.
