Hello! I have a 1990 Nissan D21. BONE STANDARD. 2.4 L AUTOMATIC.
Base model, single cab. I'm looking for headliner. HERES THE CATCH. I have the rare red interior. Any ideas where I can find it? |

Go to the junkyard, find a headliner from a std or kingcab which ever you have. Pull it.
Go to Joann's Fabrics and buy red headliner material ( it will have 1/4" foam backing on it). Buy it. Also buy 3M headliner spray glue (1 can is plenty). Scrap off old headliner fabric. be careful not to bend the headliner. Spray the glue on the foam side of the fabric and on the headliner, wait until they are tacky, stick them together and let them dry. install your new headliner. If you don't have any of the moldings from the a pillar, b pillar, or around the back window, then grab those as well from the junkyard.

But I want to add a couple small things: (1) Buy an extra yard or two and PRACTICE gluing the headliner material to a cardboard box or something similar. (2) Don't think you have to use a ton of spray adhesive to make sure the material sticks to the headliner. Jobs like this require some practice & patience. Take your time and your headliner will look like new. Followup with some pictures so we can see the end results. VOTS |

Go to a fabric shop and find something cool and uniquely you. It doesn't have to be red this next time. I've seen people put cool stuff up there. Superheros. Galaxy pictures. Hesus. Playboy Bunny. Freaking Easter Bunny. Whatever tickles your toes.

They should have the vinyl with holes in them as well. But the cloth looks and feels a lot better.

That's the same stuff mine has. I think that is the 'lowball' option.
