94 VG30E Lifter Tick? - Page 2 - Infamous Nissan

how long since the last oil change was done? did you use 5w30? my ticking calmed down a little since i went from 10w30 to 5w30. still making noise though. i just thump the radio and then i dont hear it anymore lol

It does need an oil change, and yeah i use 5w30.. but I seriously think its a bad exhaust leak. gas mileage went way down

Anybody know what else this could be? The tick got louder. It happens right on start up, and gets faster as I rev. I havent been able to take it in. My gas mileage has dropped, and my truck does get reasonably hotter. any input?

have you done the oil change yet? run seafoam? has to be a clogged passage or something. unless it is too far gone.

took it in and its not a manifold stud. uh oh. Could be a lifter tick

It is my lifters... Anybody know what i can do to 'fix' this.. How would seafoam work? Ive heard its amazing stuff.. Any input would help. thanks guys
