Havent piped up here since 2014 it looks like.
D21 and WD21 owner, 91 and 94 respectively- the 91 I've driven since I bought it new from totem lake Nissan on 116th in November. ...I was 21, lol. It survived my enthusiastic driving, stoplight drags and cannonball runs across N Cascades hwy well into the new millennium before I broke something (1st gear). Helluva truck!!! So here we are today, older and wiser. The truck still drives and looks good. I grapple with some idle stuff, had to replace starter and having the timing chain tensioner dealt with. The Pathy burned a hole in the floorboard like they do sometimes, but sorted out exhaust and just now getting the CVs done at 180k....normal stuff. As I'm preparing to spruce up the d21 with a ka24deT swap along with revamping tired suspension and better brakes, I thought I'd reconnect with fellow owners and get back into the loop. This site has always been a huge resource for knowledge. Thanks |

I'll be working with the shop on specific engines, but I'd presume from a silvia/240 as they seem to be plentiful. I recognize the oil pan needs to be changed or modded...and tapped for the turbo.
I'm curious about how you like the DE in your truck so far? |

i like the engine so far. i swapped it out cause the old engine was leaking everywhere so why not rebuild a different engine that drops in, that way i can still drive it while rebuilding the new-to-me engine.

I lurk frequently enough when searching for info, but rarely post or log in.
Having two 28+ yr old Nissan trucks, I really should be a pro by now |
