I'm just needing a muffler that will quieten my hb up. It will probably require a custom exhaust shop to do it because the previous owner really effed it up underneath. Any suggestions on what I should get?

To expand on what h.stickeye just said:

If you do not have any name brand muffler in mind, it's always best to use what the shop carries. You'll get a better deal on it. A shop charges more to install something you bring in.

I put a Borla Pro XS on my 93, it's SS and straight through, I thought it would be loud but it's pretty quiet and will last forever.

I went with all walker on mine from the manifold back. I also went with the oem Nissan gaskets. I like it very much. Whisper quiet and all the hangers were in the exact right places.

Nice. My truck was just as clean underneath when I brought it home from Florida. Not so clean anymore.

Thanks, except for the axle pinion seal ( or what ever it is called) leak I have.

I always recommend the multi layer metal OEM gaskets when working on exhaust. I found the same exact gaskets from Rockauto made by
MAHLE ORIGINAL/VICTOR REINZ

I have one flange connection that may be leaking very slightly, due to the shape of the flanges, I may put a copper gasket in place of the OEM style, I've read that the copper will conform to any irregularities in the surfaces and seal. Have not ordered one yet but I found a company that makes them in every size imaginable.

That seal isn't hard at all to change.

I read that you have to change the crush collar when you take the nut off to replace the seal??
