I use a Coleman Dual Fuel lantern with a belt keeper and twine to tie to my belt loop and use Reynolds Wrap Aluminum Foil that covers half of the glass to direct the light more accurately.

Seems to work pretty good...but man, carrying around that gallon of white gas or gallon of race fuel gets old.

Have not heard of modlight. Should be pretty nutty if surefire is considered budget!

I took my modlight 18650 okw and I lit a tree up 200 yards away through super dense fog. Fog so dense I couldn’t see 50 yards. It blast through photonic barriers like no other. I wouldn’t exactly recommend it for working on vehicles and other admin task. But for all other purposes it’s amazing

It looks like the Streamlight ProTac 2AAA is a 130 Lumens flashlight:

If you like the Streamlight, you should get the 615 lumens version:

I was introduced to that while working night shift last year. Trinity Industries issued those, and they are badass!

I had an old Protac so it was closer to 90lms. That second link looks good! Little too big for my EDC.

Hard to find a slim light with good lumens.

I was looking at the Fenix UC35 at 1000lms but it's also a little on the big side for my liking. Maybe I'll just go with a rechargable Protac AAA sized light. I dunno!

I have an oooolllllddddd G2 Nitrolon from when surefire was a brand new company selling lights at smaller gun shows. Paid $20 for it! It's an awesome light! I have the original rechargeable kit, works ok if you keep up on charging it, and an LED conversion. I use the hell out of it!

Ordered a Fenix UC35. It's a little fatter than I'd like but 1000lms and rechargable with brightness modes down to 1lm which is nice for inside electrical cabinets and mahines so I don't blind myself off the reflection.
