Typically anything produced from July onwards is considered the next year. So august 1978 is a 79 model.

Sorry, that was unintentional. It is kinda being pulled apart looking for an air leak, and sorting out some wiring issues, but here is the first picture of it after taking possession of it and driving it home 3 hours away. I think I went a little overboard on the shake down drive.

It's a 79 model year. Model years come out in August and you get the best deals on last years model then cause they want to get rid of them.

Probably not. Vehicles made late in the year are often sold as the next years models.

WELCOME!

Thanks! So why might mine have front drum brakes? To my understanding they converted from drum to disc in 78? I'll try to post more once it is put back together and registered. at the moment it is just collecting dirt out on the street. I have been trying to make room for it in my garage so that I don't have to worry about someone calling the HOA on me and getting it towed.
