so i replaced the throttle body with the old one (from my Single Cam) and then things got worse. i replaced the expensive Idle Air Control Vlv and that didnt change much. so the engine wont idle anymore at all. so i just ordered a idle stop solenoid (above the IACv) from nissanpartsdeal.com and once that comes in ill let yall know if that fixed it. the Idle Stop Solenoid was messed up and a spring came out and just seem to fall to pieces. so i ordered one. will this fix it? im hoping so. i mean i was just trying to get the idle to a point i could adjust it.

ill let yall know once it get it.

update: Radiator and fan clutch seem to fix the high temp issue. it settles around 194-196 and the outside temp was 96 with a heat idex of 106. so i think im good. what is your temp settle out to?

i replaced the ide stop solenoid and nothing changed. i reinstalled the throttle body that came with the motor and the engine runs like ass. sound like its only running on 2 cylinders and this has gotten me pretty down and almost helpless. i dont know what else to look at. i did check the codes and the one i get is MAP sensor......would that be the "boost sensor" for the EGR System?

Im lost now. ive dropped alot in this thing and im very close to fixing or so i thought then i have other issues......FML.

What gets me is that i have had this running just fine but it had the high idle......so i wanted to get it right and so i started fiddling with stuff which i think was a big mistake.

if i rev it up the RPMs stay kinda high so i touch the MAF hole on the throttle body and it calms down.

HELP. i can explain what ever you need to know.

i have replaced the TPS, IAC Valve, and the Idle Stop Solenoid.....

anyone have suggestions?

Does the throttle have a manual set screw to adjust the idle up and down?

It does but doesn't seem to change anything. I'm going to run back through my timing again.

ok so i was thinking some more about this and i was wondering if maybe the gaskets i used on the throttle body is causing some sorta vacuum leak. i used the Mahle gaskets and they are straight metal and its thin. i have questioned it before but i figure they would be best to use since i could remove them and not have to scrape gasket material off.

this is what i used and i think this could be causing my problem.....any thoughts?

ok so i got in the OEM gasket for the throttle body and come find out it is the same thing i already had in there. so i decided to trace out the gasket on some rubber fiber gasket material and installed that. well that did the trick and now the truck idles fine. i was able to adjust the idle fro 1400rpms to 950rpms with a little adjustment from the idle screw near the Idle Air Control Valve and with the TPS. im happy with how its running. no issues. i have no EGR components although i have kept them all around just in case. the other thing is that the idle does seem to drop down a little bit below 800 or so when i go to stop. not sure why but its better than it was.
