Tire air pressure
Ok, this is a basic question. I have the original wheels. Which is the correct tire pressure? Is it 26 at the front and 35 at the back?

My ‘97 D21 has the door jamb telling me it’s 26 psi at the fronts(FR) when cold and 35 psi at the rear(RR) when also cold.
Edit - these air pressures are for 215/70/14 tires with a 14”x6” rim.

I run what the tire manufacturer suggests. Many tires have a 44 psi max pressure and if you had a set it those on the front, would you feel comfortable running 26 psi in a 44 psi tire?

My ‘94 XE 4x4 says 26 on both. I think that’s too damn low because the tires look a little low even when unloaded. I use The good ol’ Wrangler 235/75 r15s, so I run 32 in all of them. Looks right, drives right, wears right. So what did Nissan know? :shrug:

I also run 32 psi in all 4 of my BFGoodrich Radial T/A’s...

I always run lower in the back unless I'm carrying a load. It reduces bump steer.

I think I run 34 front and 32 back when empty. No reason to run on just the center of the rear tires.
