Default interference Motor

I am sorta looking at an '04 Frontier w/a V6 w/a busted Timing-Belt.

Interference motor, or not?

Yes, interference engine. But apparently a broken belt on these does not "guarantee" valve damage, some get lucky....

Rumor is the 3.3 is not an interference engine UNLESS it has the 3.0 cams. Do not quote me by any means as I am unsure.

Even if (a) valve(s) did not get bent (much), piston and/or rod damage is possible. Had that happen on a cheap Fix Or Repair Daily.

Pulling the head, looked OK, but pulled the block anyway. Piston skirt was trashed, and rod bent. I'll see if I can find the picture.

Found it:
Original owner
1990 Nissan Hardbody, Aztec Red
Standard cab, 4x4, KA24E, 5-speed
Intentionally near-stock
Mods: Second OEM horn, stereo/speakers/sub,
mud and snow tires, HD trailer hitch (cat 3+),
liquid bed liner, G1W dashcam
Definitely not for sale!
