Max Snow Height for driving? - Infamous Nissan

Lowered on 3 1/2 blocks, welded diff, 185 all-seasons. Before I get stuck this winter, how much snow can anyone with the same setup on their single cab get through.

It greatly depends on the type of snow and ambient temperature. It also depends on if it's been previously driven on, salted, sanded, or fresh snow. Where I live we get from light fluffy stuff all the way to sloppy wet.
I don't have the same setup but I have had mine plow through up to 3.5 feet of normal fresh snow.
This truck has handled better than any other vehicle I've been in in the snow.
And it's mostly about good tires and true 4x4 with locking hubs.

I've been in snow over my hood in the truck.

Wet snow sucks, you can go through a lot of powder.

Add weight to the bed and snow tires make a huge difference.

Once you start to plow snow, and it is sticky....you are screwed. It will lift you up and you will lose traction...chains or no chains.

You didn't mention it, were you using chains?

Cables work really good, and you can drive on them.

There is also the sock...which I hear that the CSP uses. They have a habit of driving in the snow, when you shouldn't be driving in it.

So, get your butt down there, when there's no snow, with a tape and measure the bottom of your truck to the ground. Any snow that you plow, higher than your measurement will high-center you.

Since you're lowered, why are you even driving it in the snow? All you got? Might need to get something else for the winter, if it's bad in Ohio this year. But you got plows in your area, right? County or city?

Not necessary. I drive a low wagon. I've got about 4" between my belly and the dirt. I scrape everything. I plow before the plow with it. You should see the looks on the faces of those that are in bodozers when I scoot past. Just gotta know your limits. Or be light enough to prance around on top of the snow!

depends on the snow. this was like a foot and a half and i got around alright. it wasn’t fun but i made it work. snow tires make a huge difference. my frame is about 3 inches from the ground in this pic too.

Right, so we have plows but they only run the main streets, none of the ones I normally take. Right now my d21 is all I’ve got, and I might need to put it in my budget for snow tires.
