Pulled out my local SOT 07 with my truck today. He was stuck in the snow in a 4wd, 4 door, long box F150 with a canopy.

The maverick is hideous. Almost ran off the road the other day when my eyes were being seared by the hundai truck thing. Santa Cruz I think. It's ungodly ugly. I was embarrassed to be near it!

Brushed off ~10" of snow and fired her up for the first time since before the 24th. Let her run for ~10 mins and took her down the road and back. All in all she ran for close to 20mins...

Have a safe new year guys... (& gals!)

Probably at least as bad as a Jeep so worse than a cow.

Finally got Hector's timing noise sorted today. Slack side guide somehow had broken from where it mounts and was just lying against the chain. If it had moved and gotten wedged in the chain.... :O
The smoking gun...

Holy cow...yeah. Jammed into the chain? Sudden stop on the cam and the crank? That could cause some problems all right.

You really dodged the bullet on that one. Great that you discovered the problem in time.

Today I sprayed fluidfilm on the new centre link and tie rods that I installed over the weekend. Also tried to diagnose why my low battery light came on the other day as I got home, but the alternator was working 100% today. So I guess I roll with the risk of it happening again lol

Need a new battery perhaps. Have you looked at the battery and seen the date tag on it?

This is what I did yesterday! Found a bad cap on my ECM, replaced it, and fixed a bad trace on the board and now my hardbody ain't no toy! She is purring like a kitten!
