Hi, new titan guy here...
So my dads '04 got a newer rear axle in '08 or so, and one of the axle seals is leaking again. This diff has the finned cover. Any tips on brands or intricacies? I'm about due for all 4 brakes, too. [IMG] ![]() Last edited by Bellerophon; 12-04-2022 at 05:14 PM. |

Anyone know how to date an axle without a tag? Seems to be the same from '04-'15, but the original diff didnt have fins.
The lsd is also weak, anyone know who to go through to rebuild it? |

Put your VIN in on www.nissanpartsdeal.com and look up the axle. It may show it in the diagram, but if not I remember seeing a page in the FSM that tells you what axle type you have depending on vehicle options (engine size, 2WD vs 4WD, etc.)
That’s for the hardbody though, so you’d have to see if the FSM is available for your truck and find it in there. List of FSM’s is in the link below. https://www.nicoclub.com/nissan-service-manuals ****looks like the ‘04 titan FSM is in there. It should be in there somewhere. |

Wasnt swapped at a dealer, wasnt on the reciept, either. I just know its got the finned cover and 3.36's instead of 2.94's.
I might make another thread, but i'm due for all the suspension, too. I wanna drop this truck. Low, but not too low, and level. I dont really want shorter stiffer springs, either. Does anyone make a spindle drop? I'd like to keep my tires too. How low can i go with 265/70-18? Anyone make firewall or inner fender trim kits for the 4x4 crowd? |
