If you can read the following thread, might help you figure out what’s the best plan. I personally would not drop in the V6 for the KA24. You have more options in the future that don’t require custom parts for the KA24 since the early 240SX shared the KA24 engine (note: the 240SX engine is not a direct swap). The later 240SX still had a KA24 but it used a dual overhead cam, many more performance parts but not interchangeable with the single overhead cam motors. If you want the V6 its easier to buy a truck with one.

Your KA24 transmission will not bolt to the VG30 engine. I've seen it posted in here many times. So, you would need a VG30 transmission, too.
