Or the alternator and a.c. fit on the same bracket. I'm I right!?

Alternator and AC are on the same bracket and it is massive. You'll also want the little stamped metal adjuster. It is different than the VG30 one even though it uses the same hole.

So I just went all in and now have to vg33 one from a pathfinder. I'm going to sell it.

And one from an xterra, which is also supercharged. Still needs to be pulled but I get it on Tuesday.

The VG33ER has arrived and is on the stand, just has a blown head gasket that needs fixing and it will be good to go. I pulled it out of an auto 2002 xterra, how difficult is this going to be to wire into my d21.

Is the wiring the same for both auto and manuals ecu's with just a different ecu for whether its an auto or manual? Trying to find the best options for tuning so I can get it running how I want it.

This engine is so clean! Pulled out of a pavement princess for sure! Sorry for the terrible picture quality....

You'll want the entire wiring harness. I've heard they don't want to run without. Compete harness and proper ECM. If you put a blower on that isn't related to it it should be easier.

I'd be worried the snout would be too long for the hood. That's pretty much what I want in mine!

I will have to put in a scoop of some kind for sure, I was looking into finding a full on hood with a scoop but pretty hard to find nowadays it seems! I'm assuming the fact it came out of an auto won't matter, as the ecu is only working at keeping the motor running smoothly. Is there a different computer for the automatic transmissions brains?

I either plan on trying to fit this engine into my truck right away. Or us the other VG33E I have sitting from the 97 pathfinder and run that engine as it will be more of a plug and play. Replacing the harness and ecu sounds like a PITA! Also realized my VG33E doesn't even have a power cable so it need to be rewired.

doest have a power cable. what does that mean? as in a big fat wire that goes to the starter?

also just run the factory ECU harness through a new hole in the firewall that you cut when the motor was out.

does nissan observe lower redlines with automatics vs manuals like mazda does/did?

Or the cable that connects the engine to the ecu I believe.

Does anyone know if automatics and manuals would run a different ecu and harness? Looking to grab the ecu and harness from an automatic xterra but wanted to make sure it would work right with my manual, even tho uts for an auto.

Are the compression ratios different on the supercharger VG33, different pistons?

Older trucks had the same ECM with a PCM for the tranny.

The VG33er is the same as the VG33 other than the blower, injectors and plenum. You could drop it in and decide it doesn't fit and just drop the fuel rail, intake plenum and such from the VG33e on it and run it NA.

I hope you drop it in. I would like to hear how it fits as that's exactly what I have planned.
