Default Stanza ecu in the hardbody

Let me start with I have a 94 truck harness, 89 240sx intake manifold and maf. I was running a 89 240sx ecu. With the 240sx ecu the factory tach doesn't work.
During my research I learned of the 90 stanza ecu. I was lead to believe it wouldn't run right. Decided what the hell and put it in. The tach works like I thought it would. I set the idle speed and timing to 15. The truck runs like a whole different truck.
I have been driving it 100 miles a day for the last two weeks. I haven't noticed any excess fuel usage or any other negative effects. Does idle a little rich but nothing horrible.
I have had this truck for 20 yrs and many configurations. This is by far the best it has run. 3rd now feels like 2nd and 4th like 3rd. I don't know exactly why a front wheel drive ecu had this effect, but seems to feel like it works better with my setup than the 240sx one.
With all that said this is my opinion. I put this here so someone else can make an informed decision. The info is scarce. I might have got lucky, not really sure. I just know I'm happy.

Is that with an automatic or manual transmission?

I have a socketed 90 Stanza ecm that has no tune on it yet. The biggest difference between those and the truck ecms.was the Stanza has pinouts for a Consult port.

That was my plan also, but I got bored and threw it in anyway. I wasn't able to find alot of info on running the ecu NA. Just wanted to verify it runs.
