After seeing everyone there just got me excited to get working on mine (which I'm in the process of painting).
Hoping to make it with mine by next meet (in Dec) or the one in Jan '18.

It’s great to hear from you! Maybe you’ll get back in a hardbody one day

They tried to squash the small-truck by stopping production, not just Nissan, but by other manufacturers as well. That was approximately two decades ago. They wanted us all to jump into their full-size, gas-hogging versions, which are cool but look like every other big truck or SUV on the road.

Didn't work. A nice hardbody turns heads wherever it goes. Despite its size, it can haul bigger loads than you think, and in some remote places, it's a lot easier to get there than in some monster truck. Tight and brushy Forest Service roads, or places where you don't mind a scratch or two in order to reach your goal. Those are good examples. And if something breaks down, you don't have to stand on your bumper and crawl over your radiator support to have a look at the problem.

If I wanted a full-size truck, I would buy myself a 1970 Ford F-100 with the straight six, the granny gear four speed, and restore it. Otherwise, it's Nissan hardbody for me.
