Megasquirt as standalone (I wasn't aware it could be done as a piggyback?) could take care of ALL your fuel and ignition management needs, and cost about the same as just the piggyback FMU.

many guys run it as a piggyback. me im just trying to do the impossible, avoid a check engine light. somehow the 240 guys can run a turbo w/o a cel, why cant i?

annnnd heres one of my LSD options. i dont know how sporting a truetrac is, but im sure its an improvement.
http://pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?p=13622779 i would have to find a toyota rear, get the LSD, swap to 5 lug, and install it and figure out brakes. figure the rear is 100 at a part pull, lsd is 600, retrofitting the frontend for 5 lug is a couple hundred and new wheels and tires are at least 1000 and this gets kinda expensive, but think of all the wheel options! or i can stick with 6 lug, get a stronger 96 and up tacoma 8.4 rear and an eaton posi http://www.jawsgear.com/Positraction...duct_info.html but i have to find a stock rear axle with a decent ratio. i want the stock ratio, 3.54, at most 3.91 which comes in tundra's. i could then swap a oem tundra (66 inches wide) lsd rear diff into a tacoma housing (60 inches wide) and id be done. these are the aftermarket lsd options. http://www.jawsgear.com/Positraction...duct_info.html

Why run it as stand-alone? MegaSquirt does not have an MIL, so the light will never light.
I'm running MSIIv3.0 on a 4AGE, with Honda injectors, Ford EDIS-4 ignition, GSXR ITB's and a GM TPS. It's not hard to work with at all.
