May be a silly question but...
We are moving and I of course plan to drive my truck the 1 1/2 hour trip to our new home. The truck runs great and I am not expecting to have any trouble. My question is this, since I will be driving it longer and harder than I have since I owned it should I use this time to stick an additive in the engine to help clean? Any suggestions.

I think it's snake oil, but what the heck. I've tried Rislone Concentrate and SeaFoam. Not sure if they made any difference, except in slightly dinging my wallet.

Don't do it. Gimmicks. Ur truck will be fine. If u don't have cruise control the only annoying thing will be keeping your foot comfortable. The longest trip I did in mine was 10 hours straight. Not something I would do again, unless I really had to.

I drive my 1998 Frontier (4-cylinder, 5-speed, AC) on a 1.5 hour trip from Prescott to Phoenix every Monday afternoon and back on Tuesday afternoon, 98% highway. Never reach half-way on my temperature gauge.
Check tire pressures, coolant, oil level before you head off. Eyeball brake fluid level and clutch fluid level through the reservoir bottles. I do this like every 2 weeks. Also check pressure of spare tire.

As long as it's running ok you should be fine. I moved at the end of April and drove it for 7-8 hours with only a couple pit stops in between. If you have a bench seat your back will feel it the next day, but that's about it.
