Default Running long and harder

May be a silly question but...
We are moving and I of course plan to drive my truck the 1 1/2 hour trip to our new home. The truck runs great and I am not expecting to have any trouble.
My question is this, since I will be driving it longer and harder than I have since I owned it should I use this time to stick an additive in the engine to help clean? Any suggestions.
